About us
Welcome to Italy Villa Holidays, formerly known as Bookings For You.
We’re an award-winning independent villa rental specialist with a passion for helping people discover the very best of Italy.
Since 2011, we’ve been helping guests find their perfect Italian escape, combining a carefully selected collection of villas with expert local knowledge and genuine personal service.
In November 2026, we changed our name from Bookings For You to Italy Villa Holidays. The new name better reflects what we’ve always done – helping people enjoy exceptional villa holidays in Italy.
Our name may have changed, but everything that makes us who we are remains the same. The same people, the same commitment to exceptional service and the same love of all things Italian.
Our Story
I’m Jo Mackay, founder of Italy Villa Holidays.
I started Bookings For You back in 2011 with a simple vision: to bring a more personal level of care and service to the villa rental industry.
What began as a small curated collection of Italian holiday homes has grown into a portfolio of over 400 handpicked villas across Italy. From beautiful lakeside apartments to traditional villas in Tuscany, from farmhouses in Umbria to luxury villas on the Amalfi Coast and from characterful trulli in Puglia to beachfront homes in Sicily, we’ve spent years helping guests discover some truly special places to stay.
But, while the business has grown, my philosophy hasn’t changed.
I believe that holidays are among the most precious times we spend with friends and family. They’re a chance to slow down, explore somewhere new and create memories that last a lifetime. I want every guest who books with us to have the best possible experience.
I’m also passionate about Italy. Whether it’s the food, people, landscape, history, art or architecture – there’s always something new to discover, however many times I visit.
This enthusiasm drives everything we do at Italy Villa Holidays. We don’t just want to find you somewhere beautiful to stay. We also want to help you fall in love with Italy, just as we have!
Why Choose Italy Villa Holidays?
We’re Italy specialists
Italy Villa Holidays are Italian villa rental specialists. Italy isn’t just one of the destinations we offer. It’s the only country we specialise in.
By focusing exclusively on Italy, we’ve developed a wealth of knowledge about its different regions and destinations. We’re here to share our experience with you and help you make the right choice.
So, if you’re wondering which Italian lake would suit you best, where to stay in Tuscany, or which lesser-known corner of Italy to explore next, we’re here to help.
Award-Winning Service
Our passion for customer service is reflected in the number of British Travel Awards the company has received over the past few years.
In 2025, operating as Bookings For You, we were named Best Travel Company to Italy and received a Bronze award for Best Villa Holiday Company.
Today, as Italy Villa Holidays, we’re committed to maintaining those high standards.
Personal service from start to finish
We’re proud to offer something that’s increasingly difficult to find in the travel industry: genuinely personal service.
We take the time to understand what matters to you, whether that’s a villa within walking distance of a village, somewhere with spectacular views or a home where several generations of family can comfortably holiday together.
And our support doesn’t stop once you’ve booked. From sharing destination advice to helping with the practical details of your trip, to having a personal point of contact during your holiday, we’re here to make your Italian holiday as straightforward as possible.
A carefully curated collection of villas in Italy
We believe that where you stay can make or break a holiday. That’s why we take great care in selecting the villas in our collection, working with trusted owners and local partners.
Our portfolio includes everything from romantic hideaways for two to family-friendly villas with pools to spectacular luxury holiday homes for larger groups and special celebrations.
Italy Villa Holidays: Handpicked Villas in Italy with a Conscience
We recognise that it’s a real privilege to be able to travel and explore the world.
It’s for this reason that we believe in using our business to make a positive difference wherever we can.
By collaborating with AirBnB.org and their resettlement partners, we have been able to provide temporary accommodation for people fleeing war and persecution, including families displaced by the conflict in Ukraine.
We’re extremely grateful to all the property owners who have helped to make this possible. We remain committed to supporting worthwhile caused and helping those in need whenever we can.
‘Jo… I am very grateful for your help and I will always remember you with warmth in my heart! Thank you once again for everything you have done for us! Olena, a Ukrainian woman who lived in your villa in Italy.’
